GUITAR INSTRUCTION
Chris attended Berklee College of Music as a guitar major, winning the Berklee Achievement Scholarship. He has studied privately with Kenny Werner, Jon Damien, Hal Crook, and attended masterclasses with Pat Martino, Mike Stern, Joe Lovano, and Pat Metheny. A former faculty member at the Gainesville Guitar Academy and Academy of Music and Art in Gainesville, FL, he now teaches at the Music and Arts Center in Peabody, MA and The New School of Music in Cambridge, MA.
Chris brings a jazz background to his teaching style with emphasis on ear training, theory, improvisation and their application to all styles of music. He is equally comfortable with the beginner to advanced of all ages and styles including jazz, rock, blues, on both acoustic and electric. Chris has sent many students to the nations top music programs on scholarship.
